I saw this article over at digg.com and had to share it. All throughout the article the writer describes diamonds as the “diamond invention”. Diamonds are only valuable to the jeweler that sells you the diamond and if you tried to sell a diamond you have, you’d get less than half the price you paid for it, hence no jeweler will buy diamonds back from customers because it will show them the true value of the gems. That’s the gist of the article, and being a husband that purchased a diamond wedding ring for my wife, I’m disgusted. It does make sense though. A guy here at my office bought a few rings with large diamonds in them for a ridiculously low amount of money at an estate sale. He walked around here like Liberace, which was appropriate considering his sexual orientation.
While not diet or fitness related, I wanted to share the article none the less.
Have You Ever Tried to Sell a Diamond?
Peace,
Russ
